Luc Chénier was the first managing director of the English -language newspaper in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv Post. Interviewed on the show The North Morninghe recounted his departure to Ukraine after 22 years, as well as the fact that the journalists serving his publication were still in Ukraine.

Franco-Ontarian explained that many Ukrainian refugees feel guilty about their departure from their country and indicated that he did not belong to this group.

I crossed the border with Hungary, I had no positive emotions, only guilt many of my friends and an entire country thought of being caught in this situation.
