Deadly to fall into a ravine on Prince Edward Island

A 20-year-old man died after falling into a ravine Saturday night in Prince Edward Island National Park.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police investigation is just beginning. Investigators are trying to determine what happened.

According to police, the young man, a resident of Charlottetown, arrived at the scene aboard the bus along with other young adults. The bus stops at Orby Head in a place where you can admire the scenery. The young man fell from a precipice about 15 meters.

His fall was reported to authorities around 11:30 p.m. RCMPthe ambulance and fire services of New Glasgow and of Northern Rustico interfered.

The young man was confirmed dead at the scene.

Police are collecting eyewitness explanations to determine how many people were on the bus, why it stopped there and whether drinking alcohol played a role in the facts.
