Threats at a school in Gatineau: a 14 -year -old girl is arrested

Following threats at the École Secondaire de l’Île last month, a 14-year-old girl was arrested Friday by Gatineau police officers.

Following his arrest, the young man was greeted by investigators and then released on a promise to face conditions that must be respected.explained the Gatineau Police Service (SPVG) in a press release sent out Tuesday afternoon.

the SPVG specified that the file be submitted to the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions in the Youth Division.

Last month, three other teenagers were arrested in connection with similar cases, involving two other schools in the region, such as the École secondaire du Versant and École polyvalente de l’Érablière.

To this end, Gatineau police made sure on Tuesday that it made its presence felt around the schools. Police officers take the time to inform young people of the consequences that await them if they decide to make threats against a school, whether the threat is serious or it is a joke.
