This is Dennis Guay, 53 years old. The first victim, Mary Ann Garlow, was identified at the end of April by her family, who remembered her as a faithful mother and a gentle woman.

The identification was made byDNA and the relatives of the victims have already been informed, police confirmed in a brief statement.

The one-century Gastown building, built in 1907, was inhabited by dozens of low-income residents before it was engulfed in fire on April 11th.

The city fire department then explained that the fire was too dangerous to allow firefighters to enter the building when they arrived at the scene. That is why it is impossible to determine if there are still people inside.

The cause of the fire was due to candles not being lit on the second floor. Five people were also injured who attempted to flee the fire.

The Winters Hotel, which was badly damaged by the fire, was finally demolished by the City. During the demolition, the bodies of two victims were found.
