The farm of Pont-Rouge Enr., Which specializes in cattle raising, caught fire last night.
When Pont-Rouge firefighters arrived around 3 a.m. Thursday, one of the buildings on Terrebonne Row was completely on fire.
Many cattle died in the fire that spread to other buildings in the complex.
Saint-Basile and Neuville firefighters were called for help due to the extent of the fire.
A mechanical shovel tossed the remains of the buildings, bringing the fire out.
The source of the fire is still being determined.
Pont-Rouge Farm Enr. was born about fifty years ago.
Another deadly fire for cattle
This is the second time in a week that a farm specializing in cattle breeding has been engulfed in fire in the greater Quebec City region.
On May 11, about fifty cows died in a fire at the Desguy farm in Saint-Agapit.
