A man in crisis was arrested Thursday night in a police operation at a factory in Saint-Apollinaire, in Chaudière-Appalaches. He could be charged on Friday.
Police officers from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) tactical intervention group (GTI) arrested the individual around 7 pm at the intersection of rue Roger and rue Principale after being deployed at the Altek factory located at rue Industrielle, two hours before ito.
He was taken to the hospital center and then could deal with the cases.
Before 5 pm, the individual made a threatening speech. He appears to be unarmed, according to SQ
.Factory workers were evacuated. Several nearby streets were also closed to traffic.
The Altek factory makes doors and windows for the residential market.
