There were tens of thousands of Eintracht Frankfurt fans who took to the streets yesterday to celebrate with their team the Europa League won on penalties against Rangers on Wednesday. The players arrived in a motorcade in the center of Frankfurt and presented the trophy to their fans. Madness for Kevin Trapp, hero of the final, for Rafael Borré and for the whole team.
Borré lifts the Europa League
Until now the only European title won by Eintracht was the UEFA Cup won in 1979-80. After 42 years of waiting, the Europa League arrived and the fans of the Frankfurt team took to the streets in large numbers both in the early hours of this Thursday and hours later to celebrate the success. In addition to Trapp, Rafael Borré was another of the great protagonists of the celebration. In the final he scored the goal for the Germans and converted the decisive penalty.
