Two men were injured after leaving the road in Pointe-aux-Outardes

Two men were injured, one seriously, after leaving the road after 11 pm Saturday night in Pointe-aux-Outardes.

The driver, a 24-year-old man, was traveling on Principal Road with a passenger in his twenties in his vehicle.

According to initial information gathered by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), this vehicle crossed Route 138 and crashed into a ditch on the other side of the intersection.

The two men were taken to hospital.

According to SQalcohol and speed can play a role in the accident.

Traffic continued quickly on Route 138 on Saturday night, but it can be blocked occasionally on Sunday. Police must return to the scene to reconstruct the sequence of events and formally establish the causes of the accident.
