This event will push Val-David to deepen his reflection on the best strategy that should be used in the face of this type of event that threatens to repeat itself, according to him. Among the topics that need to be explored, according to the mayor: is there enough funding for climate change adaptation for the work and how can we ensure the protection of large trees, Ms. Forget Patrick Masbourian’s microphone.

At the present time, technicians need to intervene in areas more complicated, or difficult to access, Hydro-Québec explains. Therefore, the company recommends that the population let the technicians work as much as possible so that they do not slow down.

If you see wires in the ground, please do not approach and call 911 to secure the area. , warns Hydro-Quebec on its website. For its part, the government recommends that the population avoid using barbecue indoors and be vigilant in the use of generators.

In Ontario, almost all customers must find electricity overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday. Hydro-Quebec is avoiding its side to move forward.
