The Granada C.F. has communicated this Wednesday the dismissal of the team’s sports director, the Catalan Pep Boada, as a consequence, among other things, of the descent of the Nasrid team to the SmartBank League. The decision was already intuited since yesterday.
“The Board of Directors is carrying out an in-depth analysis of the sporting and institutional situation, marked by the new context of participation in LaLiga Smartbank and by the objective of returning Granada CF SAD to the highest category of Spanish football“, begins by saying the statement.
“The Club wants to highlight that Pep Boada and his team have done an immense job. Under his management, talent has been brought on board who will make history at Granada CF and a squad has been put together that has fought until the end. professionalism and dedication in the day to day of Pep Boada and his team have been exceptional and from the Board we want to convey our most sincere thanks”.
“Unfortunately, football requires adapting to each circumstance and the Council considers that a change in the Sports Directorate is necessary, seeking greater specialization in challenges such as the one we face in the 2022/23 season“.
