A student from Cégep de Chicoutimi fell from the fourth floor of one of the establishment’s residence towers on Tuesday night. The student was taken to the hospital, but his life was not in danger.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The Saguenay Police Department has opened an investigation to learn more.
Cégep has set up a psychological assistance service for witnesses and everyone who may have been affected this fall.
According to the director general of the establishment André Gobeil, the security of the infrastructures has changed since the incident. The Cégep leadership is awaiting the conclusions of the police investigation before proceeding.
