A man in his forties died on a road trip Wednesday night in Saint-Malo.
Around 7:30 p.m., a citizen contacted emergency services to report a damaged van at the intersection of routes 206 and 253.
According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the driver is traveling on Route 206 eastbound and will continue on his way to the intersection of the two roads. The van veered off the road towards some trees.
It is possible that several hours elapsed between the accident and the discovery of the vehicle.
The road in the area was closed for a few hours and reopened around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday night through Thursday.
An investigation is being conducted to determine the causes and circumstances of this accident.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
