On Monday, the federal government filed a bill aimed at imposing a national frost in these weapons. Once passed, it will be illegal to buy, sell, transfer and import handguns anywhere in Canada.

People who already have it can keep it. The new version of Bill C-21, however, seeks to revoke the gun licenses of individuals involved in acts of domestic violence or criminal harassment.
