SPVQ agents will patrol the banks of the Saint-Charles River in Quebec City on Saturday to try to locate a Laval University student who fell into the water nearly a week ago.
Search and rescue unit officers will be provided with a drone for the operation which will also continue on Sunday.
The Sûreté du Québec divers, who have been participating in the search for several days, will not be returning for this phase of the operation.
Despite the deployment of dog handlers and specifically search helicopters, Christelle Marielle Kouass remains untraceable. The Beninese student originally in his twenties was reported to have fallen into the river on May 29.
However, searches made it possible, on Wednesday, to find the body of Kevin Timneu Fezeu, about 400 meters from the last spot where the two students were seen in the Duberger sector.
According to our information, the 29-year-old man fell in Saint-Charles after trying to help Mrs. Kouass, who is in the water.
