Clearwater County has announced the removal of alerts and evacuation orders in connection with a massive fire around Rocky Mountain House, in southwestern Alberta. The fire is considered contained, according to local authorities.
Buster Creek Road, Route 756 and Township Road 402A reopened today.
Firefighters are still here in the area trying to control the fire on approximately 15 acres.
Another uncontrolled fire in the High Level area
Moreover, an uncontrolled fire of approximately 857 hectares is raging in the High Level forest area, in the northwest of the province.
The fire was located about twenty kilometers northwest of Zama City, but the city was not threatened. A team of 46 firefighters and 3 aircraft were trying to control it.
It is one of seven active wildfires in the region. Three more were considered contained and three were under control, according to authorities.
