Investigation is underway into two Richmond homicides

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IIET) announced Saturday that it is investigating a double homicide in Richmond, British Columbia. On its social media, the EIEH said its investigation was still in its early stages, but it was working closely with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Richmond to gather evidence.

The shooting took place on Ackroyd Road and Minoru Boulevard. In a statement, police said they were called to the scene around 11 a.m. Saturday after receiving a report of firing a gun. Police then found the two victims dead.

Police said the situation was under control and there was no immediate danger to the public in the area which will be closed to traffic until the next notice.
