A 41-year-old woman from Ottawa was found dead Thursday in Grand Canyon, Arizona.
The national park’s communications center received a call at 5:50 pm about a hiker in distress, a statement from National Park Service (NPS). The woman quickly fainted after this report.
Attempts of cardiopulmonary resuscitation by bystanders had no effect. The woman was unconscious when paramedics arrived. Staff of NPS
tried to activate it, to no avail.The 41-year-old was heading to the canyon slope after hiking the Colorado River.
An inquest was launched to determine the cause of his death.
