A safety perimeter was established before firefighters arrived. No workers were injured in the explosion.

The damage was minor, the company’s general manager Stéphane Boivin said, in an interview.

The psychological assistance service is still offered to employees who need it.

The Standards, Equity, Occupational Health and Safety Commission and Saguenay firefighters will try to determine the exact cause of this explosion.

Although there were no injuries, the Alfred Boivin Group took the situation seriously, the company confirmed, in a publication on its Facebook page.
