A man was admitted to the hospital in critical condition Tuesday night after falling victim to another shooting in Montreal, this time in the southwest of the city.
The Montreal Police Department (SPVM
) deployed resources to make an arrest in the matter.Police were alerted by a phone call to the 911 emergency center around 1:15 a.m. A shooting occurred in the borough of Lachine, at the intersection of avenue Saint-Pierre and rue Richmond running on Highway 20.
Upon arrival, officers found the injured man. He was in a bad condition before he got to the hospital.
A security perimeter was built at the intersection, in a major residential area. Investigators should go to the scene and police will look for surveillance cameras in the neighborhood to find out if photos advancing their investigation may have been captured.
