The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has announced the arrest of a young man who allegedly threatened against a school in Ile-des-Chênes, southeast of Winnipeg.
The Saint-Pierre-Jolys detachment was notified on Friday that a note containing comments of a threatening nature had been found at the School/Collège Régional Gabrielle-Roy of the Division scolaire franco-manitobaine (DSFM).
According to this message, an incident may have occurred on Monday, June 6. Before the students and staff returned to class, the RCMP
conducted a search of the school building.Over the weekend, officers worked to find out who was behind these threats.
After the investigation, a 17-year-old man from southeastern Manitoba was arrested Monday morning.
He will appear on August 12.
