The Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) on Tuesday night arrested seven individuals aged 14 to 19 who were suspected of harassing and making serious threats against two minors in the Val-Bélair sector.
According to police, the suspects were part of about ten people following the two complainants. One of them is said to be a victim of oppression on a daily basis. He allegedly recently received threats of serious bodily injury.
The young man allegedly met one of his abusers in the pursuit group and called 911. Police found the seven suspects around 10:10 pm on Tuesday on Pie-XI Boulevard, at the intersection of rue de l. ‘Etna.
Knives were confiscated
Some partially hid their faces while one wore a full hood. The search led to the seizure of three knives and a balaclava. Seven individuals were arrested for criminal harassment and wearing disguise with criminal intent.
Six of the seven youths arrested were minors. They gave their parents a promise to show up later, not to disturb their alleged victim and not to talk to each other.
