The 87 Church personnel include people who have worked for a diocese or parish, but not for institutions such as colleges or boarding schools operated by the Church.

They made up 1.28% of those working in the Church at the time of the study, and Judge Denis said none of them currently work for the Church.

The audit involved the dioceses of the two ecclesiastical Provinces-Montreal and Gatineau-and the bishops overseeing these two regions expressed their appreciation for the rigor and expertise of the judge and his team.

However, they said they knew that not all incidents of sexual abuse were reported and possibly no hidden records for some cases of abuse.
