Traces of blood all over the room

Bloodstain specialist Sergeant Trevor Knopp presented his testimony to the Crown on Wednesday at the Winnipeg courthouse. He examined the scene, two days after Mrs. Danais’ death.

According to him, Ms. was lying down. Danais was in bed when he was hit.

He estimated the victim received at least two shots, possibly up to 12 shots, due to the large amount of blood seen at the scene, he said when questioned by Crown Attorney Jennifer Mann.

He noticed traces on the four walls of the room and on the ceiling, especially.

Mr. also believes. Knopp that the bedroom door was open at the time of the crime, as there were clues up the hallway adjacent to the room.

Except for Ms. Danais, no other DNA was found in the traces of blood examined by police.

During the cross-examination of Mr. Knopp, defense attorney Matt Gould drew the jury’s attention to a container of bleach found under Ms. Knopp’s kitchen sink. Danais, with a stain of his blood. According to the specialist, the container was unlikely to be in the room when the murder occurred.

On Thursday, the Court will hear the testimony of Lise Danais’ colleague, who allegedly harassed her and said she was afraid.

The trial continues.
