In her testimony, the former colleague of Ms. Danais that he was at work on the day of this Franco-Manitoban murder, March 26, 2019.
Initially, Crown Prosecutor Erika Dolcetti asked the witness: Did you kill Madame Danais?
The man answered No. No doubt.
This man was mentioned several times in the hearings. In the testimony given earlier in the trial, the victim’s former partner, Lorne Vandersteen, said that Ms. Danais felt his former companion’s spy. Lorne Vandersteen notably suggested that she change her route to get to work.
The man in question could not be named because of a court-ordered ban on publication.
Sexual speech
During his interrogation, the witness admitted that he made sexual remarks to the victim.
However, he added that he did not know the address of Ms. Danais and he did not follow it.
He says he got home on the night of March 25, 2019, and was at work all day on March 26, 2019.
On the morning of the day of the murder, it was reported that he had only left work for a 20 -minute break. Swipe card recordings of his entry into the workplace shown earlier in the trial corroborate his testimony.
The Defense will begin its cross-examination on Friday.
The accused in the murder of Lise Danais cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Moreover, Radio-Canada did not disclose certain details of the case so as not to disclose the identity of this minor.
