Two days after ex-governor Eduardo Leite (PSDB) stated on the presidential ticket that Simone Tebet (MDB) was willing to become vice president, the senator indicated that he should pick up gaucho for a speech in his office later today.
At the same time, according to him, the heads of the four parties – PSDB, União Brasil, Cidadania and MDB – that are leading the articulations for a single “third way” nomination – must come together today to seal the unity of the centre. Statements were made to Rádio Eldorado.

The Senator stated that despite losing the primary, he will continue to hold talks with Leite as he sees him as “a great asset of the PSDB”.
Noting that he “greatly welcomes” the prospect of being a deputy, he stressed that he believes he has “all the conditions” to lead the candidacy of the third path. However, he thought that this decision would belong to the party leaders.
“For those who do not believe that the MDB will go through with the nomination until the end, it is clear that today the party has not only positioned itself as the primary candidate, but we have all the conditions to lead the ticket,” he said.
Simone Tebet promised to invite other parties to join the project if the face of the center is elected in the elections.
He said Novo is maintaining a dialogue with Renata Abreu, the national president of Podemos, a party whose candidacy ended after the departure of presidential candidates Felipe d’Avila and Sérgio Moro.
While he has given signs that he intends to take the parties’ sole nomination, he reminded that Senator Luciano Bivar of União Brasil might put a name to the dispute. Again, he said it wasn’t a “personal” project and the center was just a “silver bullet”.
“Who will set the criteria for selecting the pre-candidate or nominee of this group (they will be the leaders of the captions). It is not a project made by Doria, Simone, Leite or any other centre. Party heads,” he reaffirmed.
As for the nominee Ciro Gomes (PDT), Simone said she did not participate in the talks because she had differences with the centre, but she believed the differences could be overcome.
“Once the third route is named, a coffee will be set up with Ciro to discuss what is most important to Brazil,” he said.
