Pol Lozano, c.Girona midfielder, expressed this Saturday that his team was superior to Tenerife, with whom they drew goalless in the first leg of the final tie for promotion to The league Santander, although “the score does not reflect it”, pointed to the difficulty of playing against a defensive rival that “came to not fit in and to offer little football” and remarked that his team is going “with great confidence” to the return match in the Heliodoro Rodríguez López Stadium.
“We have played a good game. In the end, it is complicated. We have found that they have defended the 90 minutes, they came to that, not to fit in and to propose little football, and in the face of that it is difficult to open the can. We have had a good game and we go to their field with a lot of confidence”, he explained to ‘Movistar’ at the end of the match in Montilivi.
“It was important to have the ball. They play football that is different from ours and we, with our weapons, have seen that we have been superior, but the score does not reflect it. Tenerife is a team that all eleven defend, they have made changes to defend and before that it’s complicated. If you don’t have an opportunity that opens the can, as we had in Baena in the first half… They are small details that we have to solve”, he added.
In the first tie for promotion, Girona already achieved victory away from home against Eibar in Ipurua. “That match is a good reflection. In the end we have to return to those sensations from the opposite field, go for them, defend when we have to defend, attack when we have to attack. It’s a final and we have to play it with head and soul”, advanced.

“I think we have been superior, yes it is true that we could have scored a goal and take that to their field, but the reality is what it is. We have to go there to win. There is no more”, he emphasized.
