A Gatineau resident “deemed armed and dangerous” wanted by Ottawa police

A Gatineau suspect is still at large after Ottawa police issued a warrant of arrest for him in a intimidation case that occurred Wednesday.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Criminal Investigations Unit has been searching for Cederick Richard-Soares for five days.

And the 28-year-old man is still large, according to police, who consider him armed and dangerous. The June 8 incident was reported to have occurred on Renaud Road in Ottawa.

Around 9:30 am [mercredi] morning, a man received death threats from an acquaintance while at work. Given the evidence, investigators believe the threats are serious in naturewrote the OPS in an initial press release published on June 8.

According to police, Mr. Richard-Soares was spotted around Gatineau over the weekend. This one is described as a 5’6 ”(168cm), burly white man with tattoos on both arms and neck.

If you see it, don’t come near it, but call 9-1-1 right away. A warrant has already been issued for his arrestwrote the OPS in a second press release on Monday.

On June 8, the OPS released information that he was a passenger in a Chrysler 200 vehicle driven by a woman. Investigators now say the car is no longer associated with the case.
