Should we be wary of comfort, which will demean people who don’t resist life’s trials? This is the study of Jeanne-Marie Rugira, professor in the Department of Psychosociology and Social Work at the University of Quebec at Rimouski (UQAR). He wonders if the effects of the pandemic on Western populations are a result of development and promises that life will be easier. The professor insists that you need to recognize your privileges and not compare yourself to people who have more than yourself.
