The Paraguayan center-back Omar Alderete announced this Tuesday with a message on social networks that he will not continue in Valencia next season and hinted that the club will not execute the purchase option that he had in his loan agreement with Hertha Berlin from last summer.
The Ciudad del Este player admitted that he would have liked to continue. “I would have loved to continue but unfortunately football has these things,” said the defender.
Alderete, starter with José Boradlás, thanked the treatment received at the same time that he ended his stage at the Mestalla club. “I am delighted with the club, with the people, with the city,” said the player from Esteño.
As Valencia did not qualify for European competitions, the purchase option was not mandatory and from what Alderete implies, the club would have already communicated that it will not pay Hertha the 7.5 million to buy its rights
