The ‘Cholito’ Simeone, until now owned by the recently relegated Cagliari, thus officially joins Verona, a team in which this season he has signed 17 goals, his best mark in a season that has made him the team’s top scorer, and six assists.

“Hellas Verona announces that it has definitively acquired from Cagliari Calcio the right to sports performances by striker Giovanni Simeone, who has signed a contract with the ‘gialloblù’ team until June 30, 2026,” the Italian club reported.

Pretended, can be pierced

The undisputed leader of the forward, the name of ‘Cholito’, son of ‘Cholo’ Simeone, resonates as one of the most coveted in the Italian and European market, so the purchase by Verona does not mean that it will remain definitive way.

According to local media reports, several clubs would be interested in taking over the services of the Argentine international. Among them Juventus, who with the future of Álvaro Morata still undecided, sees in the figure of Simeone a good companion for the Serbian Dusan Vlahovic, or the English Arsenal.
