The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have issued a public safety alert in La Ronge, Saskatchewan, where they are looking for two armed men. Shots were directed at police earlier on Sunday.
One of the suspects is described as an adult male with short dark colored hair shaved at the temples. He wears dark colored pants and shirt with gold designs on the sleeves as well as dark colored sneakers.
He was last seen on foot in the Far Reserve Road area of Air Ronge. He was possibly heading north on Provincial Highway 2.
There is no description of the second suspect at this time. Police believe he is inside a house at 136 Far Reserve Road in Air Ronge. RCMP are in the area.
The RCMP indicates that the whereabouts of police officers should not be disclosed on social media. The police are also asking people who have drones to stop using them.
Police are asking people in the surrounding area to stay indoors or take shelter by locking doors and windows.
If you are in a safe place, the police ask you not to leave it.
She also asks to be careful if someone asks you to pick them up and not to pick up hitchhikers.
In case of an emergency or to offer information, the RCMP asks you to dial 911.
