A series of shootings took place in the Greater Toronto Area on Sunday.
The police did not say if they were related to each other.
Around 2:40 p.m. Sunday, a shooting took place near the intersection of Humber Boulevard and Alliance Avenue in Toronto, according to city police. Two teenagers aged 15 and 16 were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Then Toronto police reported another shooting, this time near the intersection of Allen Road and Lawrence Avenue West and around 4:15 p.m. They found a man there with gunshot wounds and say they fear for his life; he was taken to hospital.
Another shooting took place a few minutes later near the intersection of Caledonia Road and Lawrence Avenue West, around 4:25 p.m., again according to Toronto police. Officers located a man with no vital signscan we read in a tweet from the police.
Two shootings in the night from Saturday to Sunday
A first shooting took place around 1:45 a.m. Sunday in Clarington, east of Oshawa. Durham Region police say they were called to the area of Newtonville Road and Concession 4 Road and found two seriously injured and one lightly injured. In a statement, they report that a fourth person, who had been stabbed, presented to the hospital on their own and that their condition is linked to the same shooting.
Also on the night of Saturday to Sunday, a shooting took place in Brampton. Two people were killed.
In all these cases, the police have not released information about potential suspects and are asking for the public’s help.
