By Thursday, Judge Jacques Ladouceur will hear various testimonies to determine whether the evidence of the public prosecutor is sufficient to summon the 35-year-old man to trial.

The content of the testimonies has been placed under a publication ban.

Remember that the body of Nathan Wapachee-Hoque, a 19-year-old young man, was found in a garbage container in downtown Val-d’Or in May 2020.

Jason Gagnon and Jonathan Maranda were arrested in connection with this case to be charged with first degree murder.

Maranda has already undergone his preliminary investigation, last February, and his case must return to court this fall to determine the dates of his trial.
