Environment Canada continues to issue heat alerts for parts of southeastern Manitoba on Monday. Temperatures are expected to reach close to 30°C.
As of Sunday, parts of southern Manitoba had already broken heat records.
On Monday, the alerts concern several sectors including:

Northwest Angle and Sprague Provincial Forest;
Steinbach, Saint-Adolphe, Emerson, Vita and Richer.
Temperatures are expected to drop overnight with overnight lows between 14°C and 19°C.
In the meantime, Environment Canada invites the population to make sure to protect themselves against the negative effects of extreme heat on health.
Swelling of the hands, feet and ankles, skin rashes, cramps or even fainting are symptoms of heatstroke.
