A motorcyclist and his passenger lost their lives on Tuesday afternoon after going off the road in Rivière-Éternité. The victims are a septuagenarian and a sexagenarian whose origin has not been specified.
This was indicated at the end of the evening by the spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec, Béatrice Dorsainville.
The accident occurred around 3:15 p.m. near the intersection of Chemin Sainte-Thérèse, in the heart of the municipality.
The driver of the motorcycle would have lost control of it for an unknown reason. The two occupants, we are talking about the driver, a septuagenarian, and the passenger, a lady in her sixties, were ejected. They were transported to the hospital center and a little later at the end of the afternoon their deaths were noted.she explained.
The identity and origin of the two people will be revealed on Wednesday.
The circumstances of the accident are not known. For the moment, there is no assumption retained. The investigation will allow us to determine the exact causeshe continued.
The analysis of the scene was completed Tuesday evening around 9 p.m. and a mechanical inspection of the motorcycle will be carried out.
