Highway 20 West was reopened a little after 5 a.m. Wednesday morning near Val-Alain, in Lotbinière, following a road accident.
A 17-year-old boy was seriously injured after swerving into a stolen vehicle.
The pickup truck rolled over several meters on Highway 20, causing a major oil spill.
The highway was closed westbound for an hour to allow for cleanup.
After the accident, the youth fled on foot and about fifteen minutes later, witnesses reported the presence of an injured man in the same area.
The police and paramedics found him and took him to the hospital where his injuries are considered serious.
The teenager allegedly stole the van from Lévis earlier in the night.
This is the second major accident to occur in a few days in Val-Alain. Two people lost their lives on Monday after their car hit a rock wall near the intersection of 3e Rang and Principale Street.
