The return of Romelu Lukaku to Inter is only pending the official announcement and the ultras of the ‘Nerazzurri’ club have already warned that they will not exactly receive the Belgian striker with open arms.

“He was supported (and treated) like a King, now he is one like many,” say Inter’s radical fans, who do not forget how Lukaku left in August 2021, after being a key player in achieving Inter’s first ‘scudetto’ a ‘nerazzurri’ team since 2010, to sign for Chelsea in exchange for 113 million euros.
“We take note of the betrayal”
Waiting for Lukaku to arrive in Milan and sign his loan contract for one season, Inter’s Curva Norte has published a statement today on social networks to clearly express its position in relation to the player. “We take note of Lukaku’s betrayal and are very disappointed,” the note reads.
Already in December, after Lukaku’s first declarations of repentance and showing his desire to return to Inter at the time he made public his differences with Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea, the Curva Norte responded with an eloquent banner: “It doesn’t matter who escapes with the rain, count who stays in the storm. Goodbye, Romelu”.

no reception
Now that Lukaku’s return is about to become a reality, the Inter ultras are not changing their position. “There are some points that must be made clear: the North Curve supports Inter and will not reproach the player (despite his behavior last summer). Given this, no one should go to receive him with scarves or banners from the Curve or from the groups. Everything that is eventually done towards him in the future will have to be earned on the pitch with humility and sweat… We invite all Inter fans in any case not to fall into the opposite trap, that of running immediately to drool after him”.
In any case, the Curva Norte clarifies: “Let it be clear to everyone that we will never go against Lukaku if he wears the Inter shirt again. Now, Romelu, long ball and pedaling. Confident, towards a future that we will build together with those who will be part of our Nerazzurri family”.
