Gatineau police arrested on Wednesday afternoon a 19-year-old man suspected of complicity in the May 28 murder of Trevor Turner in the Aylmer sector of Gatineau.
Malcolm Smith, a resident of Kitigan Zibi, was arrested around 2 p.m. in the Gatineau sector. He did not resist arrest, according to police reports.
He is expected to appear in the Court of Quebec on Thursday to answer a charge of complicity after the fact of manslaughter.
Trevor Turner22, died shortly before 2 a.m. on the last Saturday in May after sustaining a serious stab wound to the upper body.
Police were alerted to the crime following a 9-1-1 call. When they arrived at the scene, the victim, a resident of Gatineau, was lying outside a business on rue Court, in the Aylmer sector.
Trevor Turner succumbed to his injuries in hospital. It was the second homicide to occur in Gatineau since the beginning of the year.
The police investigation is continuing and further arrests may follow.
