An 11-year-old boy, who was at the Red River Ex Park Fair with his mother on Monday, was hit by a bullet in a shootout. Winnipeg police say all three suspects face additional charges.
According to the Winnipeg Police Service news release, a bullet hit the victim in the lower body. As the area was in chaos, his mother pulled him to safety and immediately rushed him to hospital.
The boy, who did not know the suspects, received treatment and the police were notified.
Two 17-year-old males and a 15-year-old female from Winnipeg are each facing an additional charge of aggravated assault.
A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital in critical condition after being shot. He is now in stable condition.
According to the police, the shooting could have taken place after an argument.
