UEFA tries to put curb online abuse suffered by players, coaches, referees and other people related to football through a new program ‘Respect‘ which will start at the Women’s European Championship in England.
The program includes the ‘Real Scars’ campaign, which will highlight the devastating effects of online abuse through social media platforms and the best way to defend against this type of abuse.
The other pillars of the programme, according to UEFA, include a new platform for actively monitor, report and remedy cases of online abusein addition to the release of an ‘Outraged’ documentary series.
