Born in 1945, he graduated in Physical Education in 1972 and taught at different schools and universities, beginning to work as a national athletics coach in 1975 and a year later being a full professor at the INEF of the University of Barcelona. In 1978 he began to collaborate with FC Barcelona, beginning as coach of the club’s athletics teams and, from 1982, working as a physical trainer for the handball team, with Valero Rivera as a coach. In the 90’s he was already working with Johan Cruyff in the soccer first team and was appointed head of the physical trainers of the club.
