Also a former player from Lille, Milan, Marseille, Fenerbahçe, Sochi and Boavista and a member of the French team that won the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Rami arrived at Troyes in 2021, after being released from Boavista, and signed for one season.
Although he did not play in the first part of the season due to not being in his best physical condition, Rami ended up playing 17 Ligue 1 games, scoring 3 goals and even taking the captaincy after the arrival of Bruno Irles on the bench in January. His contest helped Troyes maintain the category (he finished 15th in the table) after achieving promotion in 2021.
“I am very happy to continue the adventure at Troyes after having contributed to the club’s historic permanence last season,” Rami said in a press release published on the club’s website.
An end of career at a good level
“I am proud to continue sharing my values and my experience within the club and I feel ready to take on the challenges that await me with these colours”, emphasizes Rami, who is willing to finish his career at a good level when not long ago he was in full decline as he was in the news more for his love flings and his relationship with Pamela Anderson than for his performance on the pitch.
