But while the party dreams of growth, the professor and creator of the Qc125 site, Philippe J. Fournier, has been advised instead to put itself in defensive mode to protect the 10 counties it holds.

QS there are MPs in downtown Montreal, Quebec City, Sherbrooke and Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

There is no possible benefit for Québec solidaire, just nothingMr. Fournier said in a telephone interview on Friday.

I would be shocked if they could find new riding. In fact, Québec solidaire should be more in defense mode than attack mode.He added.

Mr. hopes. Fournier in all opinion polls, the latest, from the company Léger, predicts a resounding victory for the Coalition avenir Québec (CAQ) in the next election.

The formation of François Legault will collect 46% of voting intentions, leaving 18% to the Liberals, 14% to the Conservative Party, 13% to QS and a small 8% in the Parti Québécois.

The CAQ is very strong in the francophone electorate […] and there, Québec solidaire would have to confront the non -French -speaking electorate and tell them: “We voted for Bill 96”studying Mr. Fournier.

Bill 96 adopted on Tuesday enacts measures to protect the French language in Quebec. I think QS just shot himself in the foot of a voter who could [son] side.

However, the observer believes the political scene QS would improve its results in liberal riding, such as Verdun, Saint-Henri-Sainte-Anne and Maurice-Richard.

But he will work in Rosemont, Sherbrooke, Jean-Lesage, in Quebec, and Rouyn-Noranda-Témiscamingue, where the success of Émilise Lessard-Therrien is far from certain, according to him.

Little consolation: he expects the good parliamentary leader of QSGabriel Nadeau-Dubois, o very good in the field.

Qc125 makes electoral projections based on electoral trends, demographic trends and political polls. Mr. Fournier was a professor of physics and astronomy at Cégep de Saint-Laurent.

Political music and speeches

The National Council of QS will be held at the Cégep du Vieux Montréal. Activists will then be invited to go to Salle Pierre-Mercure for an evening of music punctuated by political speeches.

Actors Émile Bilodeau, Luis Clavis and Emma Beko will take the stage.

Under the theme A spring to dothe national council mainly aims to mobilize the troops and study the strategy to be used in looking at the 3 October elections.

Former deputy and co-founder of the party Françoise David will open the ball in the morning. A caucus of 10 deputies will present its results.

QS has 58 officially invested candidates. All current representatives have confirmed that they are standing for re -election, except for Catherine Dorion, who has surrendered her place in Taschereau.

At his congress in November, QS adopted the electoral platform greener of its history, according to Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois.

The party has dramatically increased its target for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from 45% to 55%. For comparison, the CAQ aims for a target of 37.5% above 1990 levels by 2030.
