Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Richard Wagner hopes the recent anti-sanitary measures protests on Parliament Hill and its aftermath will lead to increased security at the nation’s tallest court building.

While he points out that security has been strengthened on Parliament Hill since the October 2014 attacks, the chief justice considers that the measures are inadequate regarding the facilities of the institution of which he is in charge.
The authorities have re-assessed the standard and the security measures for the parliamentary buildings, but unfortunately I have the impression that, to a certain extent, the Supreme Court building is relatively poorly correlated with this step – thehe argued.
The senior justices reaffirmed his duty to participate in what he described as the joint efforts of the various authorities to ensure the population’s access to reliable information as well as better education in the judicial system.
