The Minister of Justice responded to a question from Meyer Habib, related to the group Les Républicains, who had evoked a “new anti-Semitism still present in France, in particular to the left of this chamber, with the leftist Islamists”.

“A small word” for “the extreme left”

After having indicated to the deputy of the French established outside France (8th constituency, which includes Israel) that he would be present on August 9 at the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the attack on rue des Rosiers, the Minister of Justice had “a quick note” for “extreme left”.

“Corbyn, apartheid, the words you chose to comment on the speech of the President of the Republic, these words stick to your skin!” Eric Dupond-Moretti launched.

Communist MP Jean-Paul Lecoq, the first signatory to a resolution on Israel put forward by several elected members of Nupes, protested strongly. And at the initiative of the deputies of rebellious France, almost all the elected representatives of the left left the hemicycle.

Éric Dupond-Moretti also took aim at the extreme right and the National Rally, saying “not being able to forget ‘the detail of the story’ of the founding father”. “Where have Soral, Dieudonné and his quenelle gone? Where are they? Hidden in their electoral campaign”, he launched into the speech of the RN deputies.
