A last meeting before the holidays since the last Council of Ministers took place on July 29. In addition, it will be necessary to wait until the beginning of October to meet the ministers during the questions to the Government, since the last session, especially tense, took place on Tuesday.

a few weeks of vacation

Despite this and despite this New Year’s Eve dinner, the members of the Government are not yet on vacation. The ministers are obliged to remain in Paris at least until Sunday, to “participate in parliamentary work until the end of the session”, after the definitive adoption of the law on purchasing power and the financial correction law. They will return from vacation on August 24 for a back-to-school Council of Ministers.
