This Wednesday, about sixty people, including Ukrainian refugee families, gathered in Bergerac, Dordogne, to celebrate Ukraine’s Independence Day. The event was interrupted by Lucas Broucq, deputy of the National Rally deputy Serge Muller, reports France Bleu.
In a white car, he drove around the roundabout near the rally and then waved a flag of a pro-Russian breakaway republic in Donbass, Ukraine. According to witnesses, she would have insulted people at the scene. A handful of them approached the vehicle to remove the flag, reports the Bergerac prosecutor’s office. This fight ended with one of the car windows being broken.
The ethics unit of the National Rally seized
Lucas Broucq was auditioned at the Bergerac police station since an “investigation for provocation of hatred or violence” was opened. For his part, he filed a complaint for the degradation of his vehicle.
Questioned shortly afterwards by France Bleu Périgord, deputy Serge Muller distanced himself from the actions of his deputy.
“I do not share his position. It is quite clumsy of him at such a solemn moment for Ukrainians. I do not support him,” he said.
“I am also waiting for your version (…). He is a young man full of values. We can all make mistakes. In spite of everything, he continues to be a young man full of dynamism, full of desire, full of ideas for our movement. He is still my deputy, we share other values, “continues the deputy.
Later in the afternoon, Serge Muller issued a statement on social media in which he is harder with his substitute. BFMTV guest Michael Taverne, MP for the Northern National Rally, announced that the ethics unit within the party had been seized.
