“Unbearable. Unacceptable. Unforgivable.” This is the reaction of the deputy of La France Inousmise (LFI) Danièle Obono to our survey on the hiring of subcontracted workers in National Education, released on Monday. Like her, several parliamentarians from Nupes denounced the conditions in which this non-tenured staff was hired to fill the shortage of teachers.
To apply, it is not necessary to have passed the competition: a simple license and a clean criminal record are enough. One of our journalists has applied to the Versailles Academy. Despite her inexperience and ignorance of certain aspects of her profession, she was quickly contacted again and after interviews lasting about thirty minutes, she received several offers to teach from the beginning of the school year.
“UberProf, here is the government’s solution to the lack of places in National Education,” denounced LFI deputy Manuel Bompard after the broadcast of our report. Before lamenting: “Too bad for the children!”
“Mistreating the school in this way is a state scandal”
“Eliminate publications. Damage public service. Liberalize school. Put teachers under pressure. Recruit contract workers at full speed before the start of the school year. Create conditions of tension between everyone. Complain that the school is not up to height”. , asserted Deputy Boris Vallaud, president of the socialist group in the National Assembly.
“Mistreating (the school) is a state scandal,” said Yvelines environmentalist deputy Benjamín Lucas.
“In just a few years, the Liberals have destroyed everything. They upset everyone,” said Damien Maudet (LFI). “Macronie has been striving for 5 years to destroy National Education and here are the consequences,” judged Ségolène Amiot (LFI).
A “tense situation” before the start of the school year
Several deputies thus call for the mobilization. “The macronie only knows one thing, it is the balance of power. So everyone with the education staff!” Adds David Guiraud, LFI deputy for the 5th district of the North.
On Thursday, the Minister of National Education, Pap Ndiaye, acknowledged a “tense situation” ahead of the start of the school year. However, he was optimistic with his promise to have “a teacher at the head of each class” and announced, in parallel, an exceptional tenure contest for subcontracted workers in the spring of 2023.
