But the conquest, unusual in football, was left in the background by the dedication to the celebration. Sosa showed a T-shirt with the message “The children are with you, Rodri”.
Immediately, La Plata reporters began to ask themselves the reason for those words and it became known that the recipient was Rodrigo Rodríguez, a young man from the 2003 category, who had tried to take his own life at dawn on Sunday and, miraculously, the family managed to prevent it.
Rodríguez was transferred to the San Roque de Gonnet hospital where he remains hospitalized.

According to the information collected by the site sky sports, Rodríguez’s father, Julio, received a message from the young man at around 6 am. Therefore, he immediately went down to his room and managed to stop him from taking his own life.
