The new evidence could close the investigation phase of prosecutor Vanesa González, who is heading for the oral trial, which could take place by the end of the month. Villa could receive a sentence of up to 15 years in prison if she is found guilty of “sexual abuse with carnal access”, the title of the case.

In addition to the psychological report, a report sent by Meta (the company that owns Instagram) has arrived in recent days, which described in detail the private chats that Villa and Doldán had after the fact, where the Colombian tried to dissuade his ex to make the complaint.

According to Doldán’s testimony, the abuse allegedly took place in the footballer’s home, located in the village of Venado II, in Canning, on June 27, 2021. Villa took his former partner to the room, where first he beat her and then he raped her.
